Patrons of the Hermitage School District, the Arkansas State Board of Education has placed Hermitage High School in probationary status. To be accredited, a school must have all teachers certified in the area that they teach or have a state approved waiver for any teacher teaching out of his or her field. Hermitage School District had two teachers teaching out of their field of study without waivers. The two teachers teaching out of their field of study without waivers caused the school district to be placed in probationary status.
