Arkansas Smart Start AmeriCorps tutoring program is accepting applications for volunteer tutors in the SEARK Cooperative area school districts 2011-2012 -These volunteers must be 17 years of age or older with a high school diploma, highly dependable, hard working, and seeking a career in the education field.  AmeriCorps volunteers will provide tutoring in reading and math for at-risk K-4 students. -Part Time Members: Must complete 900 hours of service, will receive a living allowance of $6,035 and will receive an education award of $2,362.50.  There will be no health insurance available. The Southeast Arkansas Education Service Cooperative is seeking to hire the following: Behavioral Specialist Qualifications include the following: Master’s Degree or Higher Area of Specialty Board Certified Behavior Analyst School Psychologist Specialist Licensed Psychologist Applicant must have extensive experience in the following: Working with school age children Conducting functional behavior assessments and functional behavior analysis using current best practices Developing behavior support plans based on FA data Knowledge in the identification/assessment of children on the autism spectrum and behavioral disorders Training, consulting, collaboration skills for school staff in the area of behavioral analysis and autism spectrum disorders Working in the area of mental health with children who have emotional disabilities, behavioral disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders Applicant must be willing to travel statewide for this position. Position is 9 months yearly and the salary is based on the degree(s) and experience.
